The legislated date of the provincial election is: 31 May 2027

There are 87 regions (constituencies) across the province.

The constituent from each region with the highest number of votes will be the representative in the legislative assembly.

The Premier of the province is the leader of the party with the most representatives elected to the assembly.

To qualify as a resident, there are 3 rules that Elections Alberta has:

a person can have only one place of residence.
a person's ordinary residence is the place where the person lives and sleeps and to which, when the person is absent from it, the person intends to return and
when a person leaves Alberta with the intention of becoming a resident outside of Alberta the person's ordinary residence in Alberta ceases.

You must be born on or before 31 May 2009

(for the provincial election on 31 May 2027).
